How does it work?

Acupuncture is used by over One Billion people every year to improve health. It has been the primary source of health care for China, Japan and Korea for 3000 years.

This system of health care is based on the principle that to be healthy, tissues and organs need proper supply of blood and the oxygen and nutrients the blood carries. Over 300 points have discovered where a block in blood flow can occur. These points are often where nerves and blood vessels meet.

These blockages occur mainly due to trauma. Either physical or emotional trauma can cause blockages in the body. The blockages can go unnoticed by a person, but if left untreated can create an area of the body that isn't healing, has lost function or is in pain.

An Acupuncturist determines where the blockages are in the body and - during the treatment - removes those blockages to restore function and health. 

The needles used are ALWAYS disposable and only used one time. The needles are very thin (think cat whisker). The patient often feels no pain. Occasionaly the patient will feel a sensation. This sensation is called Daqi (da-chee), meaning get the Qi. Feeling the "Daqi" sensation means the treatment will be more effective.
